Marking Our 9th Anniversary

Standard

Join us when we hold our 9th Anniversary Event on Saturday 25th March in St John’s hall and grounds. The Market Team can hardly believe that this event was launched upon Farsley way back in 2014! When dicussions with Farsley Business Forum began, there was no venue in mind, until the Vicar of the time, Revd Paul Tudge, offered St. John’s hall & grounds and encouraged others in the wider community to volunteer and help make it a reality.

With quiet beginnings, the market has grown in popularity year on year. It survived through the lockdown period with the help of volunteer marshals, supportive traders, and our customers, new and old. We had local Council support at his time, and they liaised with the market team over changing covid regulations, giving us confidence to move forward.

We hope to attract visitors from near and far with Free Facepainting from Debra Austin, and some fabulous Juggling Antics from Matthew Tiffany. They proved to be a popular combination at the 8th Anniversary event but, we just need you to order some fair weather and we’re good to go!

Our guest stallholders include Sammie’s Flowers of Kiddal Quarry farm, bringing fresh and dried arrangements, and the Yorkshire Pudding Beer co. from the Malton Brewery with beers and spirits on sale.

Our Facepainter will be inside with a full house of Creatives – some you know well and others you can get to know better! Don’t miss the opportunity to catch these December visitors, Fred & Bo personalised gifts & The Crafty Corner for AsthmaUK, both joining us 25th March. While you are with us you can take the weight off and order a hot sandwich and drink from our Cafe Menu, or have a rummage through all the novels and titles of interest available from Friends Book Stall, who have traded at Farsley Farmers’ Market from the beginning.
