Makers, Bakers and Shakers at Farsley Farmers Market 2016
Our March Market at St John’s Hall attracted Customers from near and far with some new faces and many young families. The guest Balloon Modeller and the visiting friendly Facepainter proved to be very popular! New Stallholders for March included sellers of floral blooms, silver jewellery & bath bombs whilst our Regular Stallholders provided a few seasonal additions to their produce ranges for Easter gift giving. We were also lucky with the weather as the forecast showers held off until midday. Money and goods swapped hands from opening to closing and even the refreshments had to be replenished.
Celebrate St. Georges Day with us on April 23rd when www.wise-owl.co.uk will bring five birds of prey and you will have the opportunity to handle and be pictured with one. In the Hall Calverley candle company will have handmade candles on sale and their ‘wacky wax works’ for children to make their own. Have a go at the #PomPom challenge and help @Farsleyweekend reach their 2,000 target in time! Don’t forget – Completed Jigsaw Church Windows from the ‘Easter Trail’ can be brought to the April Market to receive a free piece of Pizza from St John’s wood fired oven.
Looking ahead to June 2016 we will be joining forces with the new @FarsleyWeekend project. If you checkout @FarsleyFarmers on twitter or farsleyfarmersmarket on facebook you will discover which stallholders and what surprise appearances there will be in the coming months.
The market celebrates its 2nd anniversary on Easter Saturday 26th March 2016. You’ll find local chefs and food enthusiasts selling pies, meats, cheese, fish, sauces, breads, cakes, honey and more. Indoors our table top is expanding to include local makers of soft toys, crochet gifts, bags, jewellery and dog snacks to name a few.
This month we welcome back Bear’s Pantry and Yorkshire Kimchi to the produce stalls and a range of new craft tables inside.
It’s not all shop, shop, shop ! Appearing between 10 and 12, meet Artifaces the balloon modellers and have your face painted by Debbie. We will have a childcare professional attending with information on Parallel Parenting Care Today and Fostering awareness.
